I have to say that Margaret is doing a great job sending me these blog postings. It is really helpful for me to keep up with what is happening so I will be up to speed when I arrive and I am sure that everyone else is enjoying them as well. Margaret’s Blog – Wednesday March 23, 2011
The day started with rain and drizzle. We met at 9:30 and visited the children at the Khatskovichi Day Care. We’ve been helping this Day Care for 3 years.
Last year we left funds to purchase new beds for the children. The previous beds were falling apart and were too short for the older children. We were happy to see the new beds. You could tell that the children were pleased as they all ran to show us their beds.
Vitali (the Chausy Orphanage Director) called to meet with David and Murray. He had been speaking with an electrician and a plumber. He wanted to verify some facts. The plumber and electrician will be required to create their own plans and will visit the site once construction starts.
Everything seems ready. The gravel should come tomorrow. We have no idea how it will be delivered. In preparation, David and Murray decided to purchase new shovels. Of course, you must buy the shovel end, the handle and the screws all separately.
Tonight we will rest up in preparation for a long day tomorrow.
