Over the next few weeks we will take a closer look at a few of our initiatives that we have planned for this year. We are starting off with our “Food Box Program”.
Our goal is to hand deliver 600 food boxes to impoverished families and seniors in April. This is a time when they are in desperate need as their
winter supplies are running low or completely exhausted. Delivery after delivery we are overwhelmed by how grateful the recipients are. Your donation of only $50 will purchase 50 lbs of quality non-perishable staple foods consisting of pasta, rice, flour, sugar, coffee, tea, canned meats, jam, and peanut butter. A package valued at more than $75 without including shipping and delivery costs. The recent devaluation of the Ruble has increased the hardship, making this program even more critical for families then ever!
The real beauty of this program is that the food is hand delivered to those most in need by our self-funded volunteers, who witness first hand the impact that this small gesture has on a family.
Our local drivers and interpreters not only benefit from the employment, but also enthusiastically join in to help their neighbours.
You can join in too … just click the “donate now” button on the right side of this page, drop a cheque in the mail or pop in to Alan Browns on King Street in Brockville to drop it off in person!
We are making a difference … together!

I would love to be there first hand to see the grateful hearts.
Thanks to all the volunteers who do the delivering. I imagine that the rewards are more than worth the effort, otherwise people would not go back.
