3rd_Poker_RunRegistration/Refreshments: 8:30 – 9:00 AM Brockville Honda – 1800 Hwy 2, Brockville
Route: Brockville – Rockport – Gananoque– Front of Yonge – Brockville (approx. 120 km)

Contact info: Jon Schuler – 613.404.7639 –

Again this year we will be holding a picnic at the finish line so everyone can come and enjoy the event. We will be having a BBQ and all of the proceeds will go towards assisting with the cost of bringing the children over for this summers respite. It would be wonderful if we had a large turnout at the picnic, we could show the motorcycle riders how much pride we have in our organization as they arrive at the finish line and enjoy the BBQ themselves!! The BBQ will begin at 11:30 AM and will be located at the old Recorder and Times facility on 1600 California Avenue in Brockville.  Annis Moreau will be organizing the BBQ portion of the event so she would appreciate an RSVP to in order to plan the food quantities.

Together, lets make this a huge success!!!

A Child Rescued!

Following a recent presentation at a Kemptville Rotary Club meeting it was decided by the Directors and approved by the Club to use their International program funds to sponsor a child at risk…. to live, learn and thrive at the Chausy Orphanage. The sponsorship will benefit a child in the 2014/2015 school term.  The cheque was presented to Dave Shaw (right) by Incoming President Donovan Arnaud (left) and President Jill Armstrong. Rotary-Chernobyl-001   In 2011 the government of Belarus passed a decree to return children from orphanages to parents or relatives regardless of living conditions, abusive circumstances or neglect.  CAC negotiated a program that would allow us to rescue children in difficult situations and return them to live and study in the safe and caring environment of the Chausy Orphanage. Unfortunately there are many of these situations brought to our attention and this donation will allow us to rescue one more child!  Thank you Kemptville Rotarians for making a difference!
