Happy Holidays from CAC

Holiday traditions vary greatly around the world, but one thing remains constant and that is taking the time to reflect on the year that has passed and to think about those less fortunate than ourselves.  With the help of our donors and volunteers, we have had a tremendous year of success at Canadian Aid for Chernobyl.  Not only have we continued our program of bringing children to Canada for Respite from Radiation, but we have seen a real change in the attitude towards children and adults with physical and mental challenges, we have continued to deliver aid to the most vulnerable and destitute and of course we have continued to provide opportunities for growth and choice for the children living at the Chausy Orphanage.

Here is a picture of two of the girls from the Chausy Orphanage dressed as Grandfather Frost and his Grand-daughter, the Snow Maiden.

2014 Initiatives

Yesterday we kicked off our fund raising efforts by posting our fund raising flyer, so today we thought we would share our initiatives for 2014 with you.  Along with our regular and critical deliveries of food, medicine and other necessities we also have a few new and exciting opportunities to help as well.  Our partners in Belarus desperately need to replace a coach bus used to transport children out of the country for respite from radiation and the local Department of Education has asked us to help with computers, education supplies and equipment for extra-curricular activities.  Please read on and find the initiative that strikes a chord with you!

Spring Humanitarian Fund Raising Begins!

It is the time of year when we start our fund raising drive for our Spring trip to Belarus.  We have many initiatives again this year, but none are more important than raising the funds to ship food and aid to a region of Belarus still impacted by radiation from the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster.  If you click on the picture below you can download or print our flyer which includes the form to submit your donation.  All donations over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt!
