A Dream Come True!

A couple of years ago we delivered a bicycle to Irina Denisyenko and she was so excited that she was jumping up and down! Little did she know what was in store for her in 2010.

Irina Denisyenko is the President of the Chausy Regional Organization for Families with Invalid Children and what she does for these families is truly remarkable. Over the years we have brought her medicine, wheelchairs, clothing, diapers, walkers, crutches, canes, strollers and anything else you could imagine to help the lives of these families. She is also our main connection for families in our Guardian Angel Program and has helped connect many families with Canadian sponsors. Through the generosity of Don and Shirley Green and family we were able to purchase Irina a van! Here is Svetlana Siemenova of “Hope for the Future” (our sister organization in Belarus) presenting Irina with the keys of a 2002 Volkswagen micro-bus.

This van will be put to good use.  Irina will use it in transporting children to and from medical appointments, she will also be able to provide families with the opportunity  for their children to attend day-care.  Here they will be able to socialize, learn skills as well as do arts & crafts and get much needed outside stimulation.  This time away also gives their family the opportunity to seek employment to help improve their situation.

This  gift is going to help so many and continue to give on into the future.  I can’t wait to see Irina’s smiling face driving this van the next time we are in Chausy!
