Stephen first became involved with Canadian Aid for Chernobyl in 1999 when his students at Athens District High School built the first CAC web site. He joined the board of directors in 2009 and made his first trip to Belarus in September 2010. Stephen works with the Chausy Orphanage School teaching the children computer skills and facilitating student projects including a school yearbook, student videos and websites.
Stephen taught Computer Studies in local secondary schools for 33 years during which time his student web projects were recognized 5 times as the best in the world. He is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
