In September 2019, a team lead by Dave Malcomson travelled to Belarus and once again ran a Learn to Skate and Hockey School. This will be the sixth time for the school which concentrates on three levels of development where the athletes graduate from one level to the next. The
skill development plays only a small part of the overall experience. They learn focus, determination and “as in life” how to fall and get back up again. By the end they understand the rewards of hard work and how a Team is stronger than the individual pieces. The hockey school has become a highlight for these young athletes every year as well as the coaches.
Through the generosity of the Malcomson family, construction has started on an outdoor hockey rink at the Chausy Orphanage. It will include a cement pad, professional boards, bleachers and lighting.
