Marcia Miller – Director

Marcia and her family first became involved with Canadian Aid for Chernobyl in 2001 when they hosted Anya from Chausy, a first time traveller at 9 years old. They continued to host for three more years and worked in the background as fundraisers such as running the craft booth at the Multicultural Festival, grocery packing, and working with the annual auction. Every now and then the call would go out for warehouse help or container packing. When it comes right down to it, the CAC volunteers are great people to work with and you always have a fun time while doing good. Marcia has been an active volunteer in the elementary and secondary schools attended by their two children, serving as School Council secretary, treasurer, hot lunch & fundraising coordinator, and chairperson as the need arose. She is currently employed by the Upper Canada District School Board working at Rideau District High School. As a new Director with CAC, Marcia is looking forward to learning more about and contributing toward the much needed work of assisting the vulnerable people impacted by the Chernobyl disaster.
