Chernobyl: A Continuing Catastrophe

Most people think of the nuclear accident in Chernobyl as an event that has left an indelible mark on its history. The truth is the accident continues to have a devastating impact. Much work has been done to set relief projects in motion, but unfortunately, with the wave of emergencies now facing the international community, Chernobyl has been largely forgotten and only a fraction of the required external resources have been mobilized.
