Annis and her family joined CAC in 1997 as backup hosts, and hosted a boy (Kostya) for 6 summers from 1998 to 2003. She has traveled with the delegation to Belarus multiple times staying with Kostya and his family.
Annis was appointed Secretary in 2014 and continued in this role until 2025. She has been a member of the Board since 2007 and worked on many committees to raise funds including craft sales, dinner auctions, Bar-B-Ques and bake sales as well as helping out at the CAC sorting centre year round.

Having retired as a Floral Designer after 50 years, Annis still enjoys it as a hobby or as the need arises and is committed to the work of CAC and the people who are involved with this great organization.
