- Became interested in being a host parent after spending time with friends who were hosting a child from Chausy and realized that there was a way for us to do something positive for someone else
- Member of Canadian Aid for Chernobyl for 6 years, as a host parent (current)
- Travelled to Belarus in March 2005 to assist in the delivery of humanitarian aid with a ticket purchased as a 50th birthday present.
- Elected to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in November 2005
- Lived in Brockville all my life and am currently employed at Bell Alliant in the Engineering Department
- Married with one daughter and one grandson
