Today was the day that the delegates always look forward to, and the first time delegates now know why. It was a day to be spent with the wonderful children at the Chausy Orphanage. It is a day for the children but we get so much back that from these children that words cannot express the joy that this day brings! It started with a concert put on by the children for the Canadians. The talent that these children have is phenomenal and we were treated to their best performances. Before I get to the reason for the title I will bring you up to date on a few other items:
- The hockey school as continued everyday with each one better than the previous! The coaches at the Orphanage are very excited with the progress of the students as well as the coaching training they are receiving.
- Neil & Lisa have spent everyday visiting families in the Guardian Angel Program and have managed to take several of the other delegates with them from time to time to see the challenges and witness the many successes that this program has enjoyed.
- I have continued to help Stephen when I can with his Internet development program and am fascinated by the army of students (as well as several interpreters and staff) that he has working their hearts out on this. Here is a picture of some of the team hard at work:

I have spent most of the last two days helping Stephen MacKinnon with his Internet Project at the Chausy Orphanage. I now know, without a doubt, why he received the Prime Minister’s (Canada) Award for Teaching Excellence! Stephen is amazing, both with his ideas as well as his ability to motivate the children! He gives gentle direction and makes suggestions, but allows the children to make their own decisions and shape the projects so that they are truly their own.
