Today our “Summer Children” arrived to begin their 5 weeks of “Relief from Radiation” here in Canada. We picked up our 26 weary travellers at the Ottawa Airport where they arrived after almost 24 hours of travel. As tired as they were there was a lot of smiles and excitement.
Some of the new kids spent the whole bus trip seeing Canada for the first time and, as tired as they were, they never took their eyes off of the view.
Some barely made it to the highway …
Once in Brockville there were plenty of hugs …
and lots of reunions.
Our new children and their host families got to meet for the first time and then all headed home for a well deserved rest. There will be lots of excitement and adventures over the next 5 weeks!
Make sure if you see their smiling faces around the area, you say “Prevet” (pree-vee-et), which means “Hi”, and welcome them to the community.

It is so great that you keep doing this year after year.
How blessed are the children and the families!
